Jill Meriweather

Jill Meriweather is a trained educator with a passion for equity. As the Principal Owner of The Meriweather Group, Jill unites her passions for education and equity through consultation and coaching. Throughout her career, she has worked at multiple levels of education from being a Head Start teacher through Teach For America, to a new teacher coach, to a district coordinator and in systems level education. She has intentionally embedded equity into her practice each step of the way. Jill has designed and facilitated racial equity training for various industries including health care, education, associations, non-profits, governmental entities, etc. She has coached equity teams, created professional development opportunities to further advance equity goals, and supported organizational goals around diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environments.

In college, she travelled to South Africa to create a comparative analysis of post-segregation education policy in Stellenbosch, South Africa and her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. Jill has served on the board of Harvesters: The Community Food Network, Kids Win Missouri, and the Northeast Community Center: Home of Harmony Project KC. Jill has received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies from Harvard, Cum laude, a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Phi Kappa Phi, a Graduate Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins
